The trial was conducted in three phases, namely preparation, implementation and reporting phases. The duration of each phase of the trial was approximately one month. In the preparation phase (1) background information on the iCamp project was given to facilitators, (2) the methodology of the trial was developed and defined by the facilitators and was introduced to the students, (3) a teleconference was organized to introduce participants from different sites to each other, (4) international groups of students were formed, (5) a reading list prepared by the facilitators was provided to the students, (6) a survey questionnaire was given to students and facilitators to collect background information, (7) a survey was organized to collect ICT infrastructure data about trial sites. At the phase of implementation students worked in groups to develop their questionnaires. In the reporting phase assessment was done by students and facilitators.
