Overview

Three trials were planned in the iCamp project. The first trial is exploratory, that is it does not aim testing any hypothesis but exploring issues and problems in a cross-cultural self-directed collaborative learning environment. Four partner universities from the iCamp consortium are involved in the first validation trial, namely ISIK from Istanbul, Turkey, AGH from Krakow, Poland, TLU from Tallinn, Estonia, and KTU from Kaunas, Lithuania. A total of 36 students at different levels of higher education (i.e. graduate and post-graduate) participated, with 7 students from TLU, 8 students from AGH and KTU and 13 from ISIK. The trial was conducted as part of a course at each university, which was “Research Methods’ course for AGH, TLU and KTU and “Software Engineering’ course for ISIK.
