The choice of technical infrastructure for the iCamp Trial 2 was mainly directed by the basic prerequisities derived from the self-directed and self-organised learning activities, knowledge sharing and collaboration. Building blocks were adapted and modified to enhance personalised learning activities. Search functions for learning resources, personal learning logbook that assembles, compiles and aggregates learning actions, resources and thoughts, relatively stable learning contract with the opportunity to have feedback function, interface for merging different content flows from different sources were crucial components of building blocks. Due to the complex context of iCamp Trial 2 setting (cross-cultural collaboration, language and cultural differences, distance learning, etc.) group collaboration in terms of project-based learning activities and regulatory space as well as communication tools were bare minimum for technical infrastructure of the second iCamp trial.
