iCamp Trial 1 aimed at concentrating mainly on the cross-cultural collaborative learning activities. Group regulation activities as well as working on and producing a shared artifact required asynchronous and synchronous communication tools, a common learning space and tools for creating artifacts in groups. Due to the lack of open source solutions for the time iCamp Trial 1 took place freely accessable and most used/popular tools were chosen from the heterogeneous landscape of tools and systems.
First set of iCamp Building Blocks:
- Wordpress for individual and group learning space
- Flickr for photo sharing
- Delicious for social bookmarking
- Skype for synchronised and asynchronised communication
- Flashmeeting for synchronised communication
