iCamp is recruiting facilitators
in our next round of iCamp trials, which will take in autumn 2007 we will support collaboration of students across different countries in Europe who are going to do some project based work. The pedagogical aim for us is to support them in self-directing their work and thus gain competence in this aspect. Students will be scaffolded in keeping a learning diary and will negotiate a learning contract.
In terms of technology we are focusing on social software applications and generally on distributed environments. We are not going to bring them together in one big LMS, but let them rather use small tools they would use anyway or can use for other purposes in the future, such as Social Software tools (e.g. weblogs, etc.)
Overall we are looking for partners who would be interested in performing such a trial with us. You would need to involve around 3-4 students at master level.
Amongst the external facilitators we will give away a journey to this year’s EC-TEL 07 conference, which will take place in Crete, Greece in September.
